Here's a quick article I wrote up that may help you with journaling your stocks with $CashApp Broker or any other broker.
Journal Your CashApp Trades w/ TraderSync LIVE
Have you been utilizing CashApp as one of your brokers but having issues journaling your trades?
Here I will be provideing a breakdown on how to obtain a statement that includes your stock trades so you can utilize specific stock journaling software like TraderSync. TraderSync Now Supports CashApp importing of .csv files Live with-in 3 days upon my request. Heres How to do it.
Exporting Your CashApp Statement?
So there is no way to actually export the .csv file by phone so you will have to use a desktop from my understanding but here's how I did it:
1. Sign into Cash App from a desktop computer.
2. From the Activity page click Statements.
3. Click Export CSV.
How to utilize Microsoft Excel to filter transactions to Only Your Stock Trades?
4. Open CSV in Excel
5. Click the Home Tab in Excel
6. Click Filter
7. Transaction Type
8. Text Filters ( Does Not Contain )
9. Type Stock
10. Delete Highlighted Cells
11. Export as .CSV file
What should I know before I get started?
There are so many different types of stock journaling software but they typically cost a monthly fee and TraderSync does charge a low monthly fee. You can find pre-formatted excel spreadsheets all over Google and journal the trades yourself if you don't mind taking the extra time to do this. I have attempted numerous other stock journaling software but unfortunately. throughout my journey, No other software has support for Cash App that I have found. I have as well reached out to their customer service for implementing a way to import statement .csv files from CashApp but they stated maybe in the future but currently, it's not available which didn't help at all, Where TraderSync immediately jumped on it and had it implemented within 3 days for me. TraderSync in my opinion has a really well-built user interface and as well Superb Customer Service.
